GCC is a company with a global and sustainable focus, established in 1941 as Cementos de Chihuahua. In 1991, it was incorporated as Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua when it was reorganized as a holding company, prior to its listing on the Mexican Stock Exchange in 1992. In 2021, it changed its corporate name to GCC, S.A.B. de C.V.
GCC is a vertically integrated company operating in Mexico, United States and Canada. Its subsidiaries are mainly engaged in the production and distribution of cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and other construction materials.
GCC is primarily engaged in the production, distribution, and sale of cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks, and other construction materials in Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
GCC’s operations cover northern Mexico, the United States and Canada.
In Mexico, GCC is mainly located in the state of Chihuahua, where it operates thee cement plants located in the cities of Chihuahua, Juárez, and the town of Samalayuca. Its operations also include 49 ready-mix concrete plants, six concrete block plants, four aggregate plants, and two prefabricated concrete product plants. GCC is the leader in most of the markets in which it operates within the state of Chihuahua: cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, concrete blocks, and prefabricated products.
In the United States, GCC participates in the cement, aggregates, and ready-mix concrete markets, operating five cement plants located in Pueblo (CO), Rapid City (SD), Trident (MT), Tijeras (NM), and Odessa (TX). The company also has 24 cement distribution terminals and transfer stations across Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, and West Texas. GCC is one of the leading concrete producers with 47 ready-mix concrete plants in North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, New Mexico, and Texas.
In Canada, GCC operates through exports from the United States and is actively working to develop a fully integrated business across markets in northern Mexico and the U.S.-Canada border region.
GCC is a holding company operating through several subsidiaries, organized and managed by two divisions: Mexico and the United States. A team provides services in administration, human resources, finance, IT, planning, engineering, technology management, health and safety, innovation, sustainability, and R&D.
